About the role

This is a unique opportunity for House Manager with disability services experience to join our Intensive Therapeutic Care team in Bronte. This is your chance to make a lasting impact while leading a dedicated team of youth support workers in a therapeutic home setting that supports children and young people with disabilities (11-17 years of age).

As a House Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with a Therapeutic Specialist and Case Manager to bring the CARE model to life, creating a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive. You’ll also help young people develop the skills they need for independent living, maintain their education, and stay connected with their Care Workers, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the home in line with the CARE model, relevant legislation, and LWB policies
  • Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential setting
  • Be a visible and supportive leader in the home, offering guidance and role modelling for your team
  • Oversee and implement therapeutic care plans to support the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Guide your team in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques
  • Provide reflective supervision and mentoring to staff, fostering a strong, supportive team culture

Skills & Experience

  • Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, or a related field (desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience)
  • Leadership experience in services supporting children and young people, such as out-of-home care (OOHC) and Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) settings
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, complex health needs, or behaviours of concern
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, embedding therapeutic care practices
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) & CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
  • A valid driver’s licence
