About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, National Safeguarding Unit you will undertake data analysis and prepare safeguarding reports relating to high risk client incidents across the Disability and Mental Health directorate.
You will also provide administrative and executive support to Executive Director, Safeguarding by collaborating and supporting safeguarding initiatives and projects within National Safeguarding Unit.
This is a maximum term contract opportunity to June 2025, location is flexible.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare safeguarding desktop reviews across critical high risk matters
- Use data to identify and report systemic issues that relate to quality and compliance
- Contribute to the preparation, development, and delivery of NSU projects and BAU initiatives
- Undertake data analysis and prepare thematic reports relating to high risk client incidents
- Coordinate Client Death Review process and panels
- Keep abreast of best practice and emerging trends and interpretations of legislative and regulatory requirements that may impact LWB’s business and quality assurance strategies
- Maintain SharePoint sites and other tools for the NSU, including functionality for calendars, message boards, and document repositories
- Complete data input, analysis and reporting, compiling information from existing systems, Client Services and other sources
- Provide timely, effective diary management by prioritising and organising meetings, with internal and external stakeholders for the Executive Director, Safeguarding
- Coordinate agendas, minutes, and action items for meetings.
- Arrange travel and accommodation for Executive Director, Safeguarding and reconciliation of monthly expense incurred
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination and management, including incident management reviews
- Proven understanding and practical experience in the disability sector
- Demonstrated with MS Project Online data structures and strong analytical skills for effective data interpretation
- Understanding of project methodologies and best practices, such as PRINCE2 or similar frameworks
- Strong interpersonal skills that foster positive working relationships and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Well-developed problem-solving skills with the capability to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements
- Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality, demonstrating integrity and honesty
- Experience managing competing priorities to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standards
- Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in all tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in report generation and public presentations
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite, enhancing overall project management and reporting capabilities
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
