About the role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) you will lead and lead the Group Financial Planning and Analysis team of circa 10 FTE that provides short, mid and long term financial planning, analysis, and insights that support effective decision-making across the business to ensure financial sustainability and resilience of a budget/revenue that exceeds $800M per annum.

You will be responsible for supporting the CFO and Executive Leadership Team by implementing and embedding group financial planning and analysis services to support the achievement of LWB’s Strategy. You will leverage technology and establish the data and reporting systems to drive transparency and ownership of financials, while providing business leaders with timely financial insight that supports data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Tertiary level qualifications in business, commerce, management or relevant field.
  • Qualified and registered Chartered or Certified Practising Accountant.
  • Extensive experience in managing the FP&A function in a large and complex organisation.
  • Experience with best practice Enterprise Performance Management tools including requirements definition and implementation.
  • Experience managing a dispersed team, fostering effective, high-performance focused on achieving team and organisational goals.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing and implementing budgeting and rolling and long-range forecast models across a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and to deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory environment for areas of business responsibility.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build a shared understanding of, and commitment to the organisation’s Purpose and Values.
  • Ability to drive organisation-wide initiatives and strong organisational, planning and prioritising ability.
  • The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including peers, employees, partners, and suppliers to achieve financially responsible outcomes
  • Advanced and proven problem solving skills, and ability to think laterally and strategically.
  • Excellent written communication skills for the creation of reports, board papers, correspondence and other material.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
